Artist Teresa Liana

Teresa Liana is one of the most accomplished and recognized artists at Ceramika Artystyczna in Bolesławiec, Poland. A graduate of the Ceramic Technical School in Krotoszyn, she joined the cooperative in 1983 and has since become one of its most influential designers.

Over the course of her career, Teresa has created more than 2,100 patterns for Ceramika Artystyczna. Her work extends beyond traditional sponge stamping, incorporating fine brushwork that gives her designs remarkable depth, detail, and artistic expression. Her innovative approach has earned her numerous awards from the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw.

Known for her ability to create harmony between form and decoration, Teresa has designed several beloved themed collections, including The English Gardens. Her work frequently features floral bouquets, butterflies, birds, and other nature-inspired motifs that have become favorites among collectors worldwide.

While many of her designs showcase the timeless beauty of cobalt blue Polish pottery, Teresa has also explored vibrant new color palettes. Her striking collections featuring red and white hues capture the charm of the Polish countryside, often incorporating daisies, poppies, and whimsical teapot motifs. These lively designs celebrate both tradition and creativity, making her work instantly recognizable and highly sought after by collectors.
