We are passionate about polish pottery and having spent as much time in Boleslawiec, Poland as we have shopping, talking with factory owners and working with local businesses, we have come to appreciate every aspect of how this product is created. We have owned and operated Pacific Polish Pottery since 2000. We started off doing private shopping for people in Poland which led to the creation of a simple e-commerce site. This led us to importing and then wholesale. We eventually opened our own brick and mortar store while expanding our e-commerce site to include thousands of products. We absolutely love what we do.

Although it would be easy to think so, polish pottery is not all that we care about. We love love love animals. We have worked with, saved and rehabilitated dozens of animals that have found their way into our care. We even keep track of every one of them and their new families. We are never more complete than when we are taking care of something that can offer you nothing in return except unconditional love. Our own pets are spoiled and yes, they have their own polish pottery dishes. You will see a common theme in our store and some of the patterns we choose.

We are the original bloggers of Polish Pottery. We started our blog over a decade ago in part because of our love of the pottery but also our love of food. We wanted to share with you the things we enjoy every day. Several people have copied us over the years but so far, no one does it better. We are proud of that. We have moved on to a full blown food blog that is no longer polish pottery driven, but food driven. 90% of the food we make is photographed using polish pottery. As you can see they make for stunning serving dishes.

Standard Shipping Policy:

Our shipping policy is very simple. We want everything to arrive to you better than you expect. To do this, we are meticulous about the quality of pottery we stock and how we pack every single order. Orders generally take a full week to ship, although many times we manage to ship them much sooner. However, please consider this when ordering, especially if it's a busy time of year, such as the Holiday Season.

We offer low flat rate shipping starting at 6.95 depending on the zone you are in (according to USPS and my location; see the map below to determine your zone). We may use a variety of shipping methods. However, we primarily utilize USPS and UPS. FedEx is not an option for us at this time. Some customers like to place multiple orders. If we combine them into a box that is 12" x 12" x 12" or smaller, we will refund the shipping from the extra order (if we catch it; sometimes we don't if there are a lot of orders stacked up). If combining your orders causes us to have to ship in multiple boxes or use an oversized box (larger than 12" x 12" x 12"), then we will not refund the shipping on the additional orders, as oversized boxes cause shipping rates to double. Additionally, if you placed more than one order and used a pottery points certificate (which is only meant to offer you free or reduced shipping), and we subsequently combine those orders, we will not refund anything because there was no shipping paid; the pottery points covered it. While we want to try to save you on shipping, this is a real cost for us, and it should not be assumed that your orders can or will be combined.

14.95 for orders between 39.01 and 149.00

Regarding Returns:

Should you decide that you need to return an item, you must contact us immediately before you ship anything back. We expect you to let us know within 2 days of delivery of your package if you need to initiate a return. Make sure to pack it well and insure it against any possible damage. If the item/s being returned are damaged or broken upon arrival, you will have to file a claim with the carrier as we will not refund broken or damaged pieces due to mailing from your end.

All stickers must be on them. We cannot accept back pieces that have been used. Please keep this in mind. We do not pay for return shipping unless we made an obvious error (such as the wrong piece was sent). If you do not like the way something is painted or if a shape is not perfectly uniform, that is not considered an error on our part. These are hand made items, and imperfections can and do occur. All sale items are final sale, they are not eligible for return.

If you return an item and you either did not pay for shipping as part of your original order or you did not pay for full shipping (as in Washington state, where shipping is discounted), the actual shipping costs we originally incurred will be deducted from your refund. For example, if you return an order where you paid a flat 14.95 for shipping but our actual cost was 27.00, then we will charge you the full shipping cost when the item is returned, and your refund will reflect this.

If you return an order to sender, the actual shipping costs we incurred will be deducted from your refund as well a 25% restocking fee.

Purchasing products from our company is an acknowledgement of this policy. We do not charge you a restocking fee (unless you initiate a 'Return to Sender'). We also do not pay for return shipping.

We have items on our site that are marked FINAL SALE. This means refunds are not allowed. If however, a situation occurs and we allow this (at our discretion) a store credit will be issued. In addition, we do not cancel orders. If, however, a situation occurs and we allow this (at our discretion), a store credit will be issued only.

If you need to return a piece that was part of a sale involving another piece, for example on a buy one get one free sale, you must return both pieces for your return to be accepted.

Because artists are given the liberty to interpret patterns, we do not accept returns because you don't like how the pattern was arranged. It may vary from the picture shown on our website in some ways.

At this time, we only ship within the United States.

In the rare event that a piece arrives broken, please do the following:

Contact us immediately, within 2 days of delivery
We require a variety of pictures to file a claim through insurance. If you refuse to provide these pictures (including if we need them re-taken to show a better angle etc) then we will be unable to file a claim, and a refund/credit/replacement will not be issued until the necessary photos are provided.
Keep all packing material until the claim has been processed by the shipping agent.
Do NOT discard any boxes, packing material or broken pieces until you are told to do so by us, as we may have you ship them back.
In the event of breakage during a final sale event, credit will only be issued once the insurance claim has paid out.

This set is an all-in-one salt, pepper, and tray. Take note of the bottom of this piece. It has the initials and number K.D. 85, indicating that Krystyna Deptula not only designed this pattern but also painted this piece herself, making it a rare find. In addition, this piece is hand-signed (instead of stamped), making this an exceptionally special set. These pieces have been in storage for almost 15 years, and so the likelihood that she actually painted this is very good.

This piece is part of a large inventory collection that has been in storage for the better part of the last 15 years. They are all new pieces, ordered at the time by a direct distributor for the Ceramika Artystyczna factory. Many of these pieces are patterns and or shapes that are no longer in production. When they are gone, they are gone. They cannot be ordered again.
